No, I haven't been stuck in a time warp! We are in an area where there's no broadband as yet, having just moved back from England (altho' I'm writing this from the UK). Does anyone know how we access dial-up internet access? Preferably this wouldn't be part of a subscription plan (like that offered by eircom) as I hear broadband might be with us in the next month or two.

Get yourself 02/Vodafone broadband or some such on a 30-day contract. Cheaper over 2 months and damn faster.

If you must, number is 1892110110 username: free password: free IIRC, could have changed.

Connect you PC with the Phone cable and try the service from that company:

    http://www.free-dialup.net/?gclid=CMyh8_KC5JsCFd4B4wod6XW6Ag.

YOu can setup your Network connection in the Network Connections Panel from Control Panel

Just came across this site http://www.elivefree.net/ when searching for the exact same thing for someone who is waiting on Broadband to be connected. I don't know anything about this company and it would depend on how much you have to pay for 1890 calls whether it was a viable option. If you try it, please let us know what it was like.

If your with eircom I'm pretty sure the number is 1892150150 and username and password are both eircomnet. That was it when I used use it anyway! You may be able to get BB over the air if you check locally there are bound to be small companies doing it, thats how I have it.
