    hi, just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for childrens raod (racer) bikes. My 8 yr old is very keen to get a proper racer. We are in Wicklow and are wondering if there is any kids cycling clubs around?

    Isla bikes sells kids road bikes
    Wiggle.co.uk as well has few junior racers.

    I think Bray Wheelers have a fair few juniors, but I'm not sure whether they have kids a young as 8.

    Bray wheelers: http://www.braywheelers.com/ and Sorrento CC: http://sorrentocyclingclub.com/site/ are both good clubs for kids in the North Wicklow area. They both do racing, training, on and off road for children.

    Hya, Just to let you know that the Bray Wheelers are running specific races for children of all ages - starting on the 27th July at the Cullenmore Hotel.

    This is the first of a series of fun races combining road, mountain bike and there is even a track event. Young children are accompanied by an adult. I have listed the series below...

    Monday 27th July – Road Race, 7.15pm in Ashford on Cullenmore Bends
    Monday 3rd August – (No race due to Bank Holiday)
    Monday 10th August – MTB Race, 7.15pm in Ballinastoe
    Monday 17th August – Road Race, 7.15pm in Ashford on Cullenmore Bends
    Monday 24th August – Track Race, 7.15pm in Track in Crumlin
    Monday 31th August – MTB Race, 7.15pm in Kindlestown
