Distance Grants?

    i was just wondering if there are grants given to students living a certain distance away from the university?

    Yes, but it's assessed on whether you're within or beyond 24kms from the college. If you're a mature student you get the '24km' or 'non-adjacent' rate automatically.

    There are individual funding packages in various colleges which give grants to some people from different backgrounds - for example, in Trinity I know there is a fund you can apply to if you're from a Kerry school and going there next year. They aren't too common but some do exist. For these, the best thing is to ask the college admissions office wherever you're looking to go.

    well im about 35-40km from UCC so would i be entitled to something?
