Hi Guys Just doing a business plan for a pub and have a question Are pubs treated the same as shops for vat as in using the retailer vat scheme. As Ive estimated my sales to be 20K a month so just wondering do I work back using 21.5%. There will be a small bit of food as in sambo etcs but none of your fancy food.

Business which do not sell goods in the form in which they are purchased (eg sandwiches which are prepared by bar staff) are not entitled to use the retailer schemes.
