    Hi all.

    Any Nissan boys out there.

Looking for a brand new 1.5dci base model is fine. Cash buyer but I will take the 3 year zero %, with one third down.

Want to buy tomorrow or Tuesday, going to Belfast tomorrow as well.

We don't sell cars here! Have you shopped around all the dealers here and in the North, done your VRT calculations, etc?

You won't get the 0% finance if you go north.

I got 1 of these in the UK .. 5 month old demo model with 2500 miles for just €17500 all in .. with higher than Irish spec (i.e. parking sensors, 6 disc cd and climate control) .. thats €7500 lower than the list price for the Irish Spec  .

Surely thats €7500 lower for a used import than the list price for a brand new Irish Spec. Great deal but not exactly the same

I know what it is .. I was making a comparison, I realise not exactly like for like but a better deal in my opinion than buying brand new. It was also €3500 less than I was offered for a year old (lower spec) model here with 5 times the mileage.

I think that 1.5 dCi engine has been on sale in various models from the Laguna to the Megane for a number of years now and has proven to be pretty reliable. I've heard no horror stories with it anyway. It's pretty good on juice too.

Can you elaborate on this as I have been looking at the same but have not got anywhere near €17500 for a 2009 Tekna. Was it via the nissan.co.uk website? Cheers.

The gears are on top of each other if you ask me.

The one I bought was a Acenta model, which is higher spec than the irish base model but lower than the Tekna model you are talking about. I bought it from a Nissan Garage (found ad on autotrader). It was £12950 on Autotrader and £13,495 on their own website. I done the deal at £12700 which cost me €14000 at the time. The VRT was €3457. In fairness it was about £1000 cheaper than any other I could find at the time.

In the early part of the year Nissan UK were giving a free upgrade on the Qashqai from Accenta grade to Tekna grade. Quite a lot were imported both privately and by Eire dealers (independents and Nissan main dealers). However, Nissan UK increased the price by 3500 stg or so about 2 months ago so that closed off this source.

Check the warranty status on these. Does the nissan uk warranty cover europe?

I'll take your word for it but I'd advise any buyer to check over the wording of the warranty from all manufacturer.
