I have a 2.5 diesel Brava 4x2 pickup about to be taken off the road. does anyone know if it would be realistic to put this engine into my petrol Frontera and possibly of someone who could do this swap in south Galway area?

isn't the Brava just a rebadged Isuzu TF?

Yep, as far as I know they are one and the same

The Brava and Frontera are both Vauxhall badged Isuzu's in the days before ECU and fancy systems it would just have been a simple swap. My problem is the wireing and the exhaust/starter are on oposing sides. Looks doable but needs someone with more knowledge than me to confirm and or achive.

If you ask over at itocuk.co.uk they should be able to tell you.

Fronteras are dirt cheap, why not just buy a diesel one?

Call me old fashioned and frugal but when you have 2 motors one with a good 2.5D engine that gives 50mpg, but a lousy chassis and no power steering, another SWB with a thirsty 2.0 petrol guseler it makes sense to make 1 decent shed out of the 2. Besides they dont put diesels in Swb Frontera's the 2.8 lwb is problematic plus the misses wouldnt drive one.
