    hi,
    in relation to bjj can someone please tell me what the difference is?!?! is it basically the exact same stuff but its just the clothing thats different???

    It can become a very different game. It's easier to keep hold of someone when they're wearing a gi (looser than a rash guard and shorts), and the gi itself can be used in certain techniques (e.g. chokes).

    BJJ = Gi.

    NoGi = Wrestling/grapping.

    Just to add to what was already said, Lots of the moves between BJJ and Submission Wrestling are interchangeable and although they are different sports they are similar, the main thing i'd say would be if you can escape arm bars etc in the Gi then they should be much easier without it on, many MMA fighters where the Gi to tighten up there game, For MMA i'd suggest to do a bit of both..
