    Hi all,

On a rest day today and have a re-occuring right calf injury niggling away at me that has slowed my progress before.

I pronate on my right foot from the outside to the inside. I'm a 400m runner so I do a lot of tempo work. I've had shoes tested and fitted at amphibian king but it hasn't helped.

My gut feeling is that its a strength/stability issue occuring above the knee...does anyone have any education/experience in this area that could advise meas to what to do/go please?

I'm trying to stear clear of orthotics as I'msuspect how effective they could be for a sprinter.

    thanks

I would still consult with a podiatrist even to discuss the issue of orthotics.

:eek:Gait analysis and you are still hurt:eek::eek:

To avoid alot of time-wasting, tears, frustration and sitting on your ass not being able to train, I would go to a physio anytime you have a doubt about something.

SportsMed are your people in my opinion for the all round approach to injury.

I've hit some issues with my right heel and arch over the last couple of weeks, and have had to stop running. Question is do you go to a podiatrist or a physio for this? Come to think of it, what is a podiatrist? Is it the same as a chiropodist?
