    Anyone ever tried one of these?

    I've been messing with Macro lately and though that this could give better results rather than a diffused flash?

    The general rule being, larger and nearer lightsource produces a softer light. For the price £22, you can't go far wrong with it. Though you might find the light produced from it is fairly flat compared to a directional source.
