    I haven't worked in over three weeks, if I apply for JS Allowance now, will that also cover the weeks I haven't worked? Thanks.

    No, afaik, you have to notify them as soon as you are unemployed and that is the date from when you'll receive payment.Why didn't you do it 3 weeks ago:confused:

    I didn't apply because I was waitressing, they just slowly stopped having hours to give me and I thought it'd pick up or I'd get another job. If my P45 gives the date I last actually worked a shift there, do you think that'll be enough?

    Worth a go. Have you ever claimed welfare before? If you have, they will assume you know how the welfare works and wont be so fast to backpay you.
