unfortunately my connection is far too slow at the moment.. cheers for the updates, already sounds like a good game

    13-10.
Aussie have to vary tactics more and to do this, kicking from hand (particularly from Burgess) has to improve. Can't pick and drive all match against the All Blacks.

Smith playing a blinder for his century of tests. The guy is one of the best breakaways I've ever seen...and he's still only 28! To think that in 1999 it was going to be him or Keith Gleeson as being tipped to replace the mighty Dave Wilson.

Kiwis missing Williams in the lineout, an area where the Walls are making life very uncomfortable for them.

Jeez, the flooodlights at Eden Park are shocking. Don't often see the old 4 shadow type of floodlights anymore. Weird to see the crowd at each end in darkness also.

Nice peno from Blacks to go in front though.

16-16 now. Smith rightly pinged for clinging and not rolling away at the ruck.

    19 to 16 to ABs.

Clearly Robbie's "unstructure" gameplan is not working, same as what boks tried last year in 3N and failed. Teams need structure.

Aus proved to be a good side with their "play what's in front of you" against a weak Italian squad and depleted tired French squad.

The ABs intensity will last and they'll take this one.

Not a stunning preditcion when they were 6 up with 5 left!

Good win though, not a great game.

AB's showed much improvement in 2nd half, Piri Weepu made a big difference.
McCaw lacking match fitness, should be better for next test.
    AB lineout very poor.

Rotten call on Mortlock to give the Kiwis the 6 point deficit. He was as rolled away as humanly possible and did nothing to interfere with play.

All Blacks soaked up the pressure well and were patient in defence.

The Tri Nations winners will be either of these two teams that wins away in South Africa. It'll be that close between them.
Can't see the current Springboks squad winning enough games in Perth, Wellington, Hamilton or Brisbane.

Have money on Australia to win the tournament so this wasn't the best of starts. I have to say that the last penalty given to the ABs was very harsh.

with the scrum cap on he is easier to pick out and oh my god that boy gets around the park. incredible. some of hits hits from behind etc are amazing. he flattens guys (including bigger players) he just mullers people

Not to Donald he wasn't. He absolutely whalloped him with a huge tackle in the first half and let Conrad Smith know he was around plenty of times.

Space was at a premium. Nothing new there. First Bledisloe is usually a tight one won by a kick or two.

    You missed nothing.

Poor match, Ref decided that rucks were allowed to be a free for all.

Are you hinting that I'm biased? Hardly so.
Saw no attempt to wrap in that paticular challenge and not because of any tilt to a team.
Gave the plaudits to the Kiwis for their working of that win. They didn't panic in the second half and rucked aggressively. Not saying anyone was robbed. They nipped it in a tight game though looked a little more comfortable in the last 10.

i liked the way he pinged palu for the incorrect tap and go. and i was CHUFFED he pinged ben robinson for throwing the ball away after nz were awarded a penalty. this in particular is a realbugbear of mine.one team gets awarded a penalty or free kick and all of a sudden the ball is 30ft away from where the incident occured preventing a quick tap. i remember a number 8 on my team levelling a guy. for that nonsense when we were under 18s

He played OK, but not at his usual level, probably 85% of his normal game.
He admitted it after the game..

Im living down in Australia currently and I was devastated by this. Really thought they had a great chance at pulling off a win. I still think this Kiwi team is very weak in places without Carter. Wish we had a shot at them
