I was up in Argos in omni park tonight and noticed most of their display TVs are being sold off at 40% of the marked price, some very good lcds going and i was looking at a 50inch plasma reduced from 1000 to 600 euro, the only thing is you dont get a box and you have to take the display model but still a great deal I thought.

    Is that country-wide?

I dont know it could be ,they are selling off the display TVs as theres a new catalogue out next week so their stock changes, worth ringing your local store and finding out, They had around 15 TVs left in santry tonight anyway, im sure they'll be gone by the weekend I was enquiring about one in particular I think I'll go back up at 9 and get it, thought I,d do a bit of internet research on the brand first.

False economy, the display models will be close to burning out no matter what kind they are, plasma, LCD etc, they've been on for 12 hours a day for their entire lifespans in a hot environment.

The display shelf in mahon was bare of the reduced models, except for one 22" wharfdale or some other wierd make tv, not that I was going to purchase anyways but just letting people know!

I recall seeing a display lcd tv in pc world with a huge scratch on the screen.....was 599 now 399 (ex-display), what a bargain:pac::pac:

Argos omni park has several of the TVS left, the store is only open for 2 months now so I wouldn't say they are bured out, or anywhere near, probably will all sell out today all the same
