What I do when I'm stuck for chancge is go and clear out this ''Holy'' well thats near me.

Got near 6 euro out of it one day!!

I met a beggar in Lithuania that started crying on me. He was normal at first a big Russian dude, he asked if I spoke English in a normal enough way and looked ok but then he started balling crying and lifted up his pants leg to show a big scar. I was quite shocked seeing this big guy crying and gave him all my change so he'd go away, so it does work really well.
