Interesting story on Pat Kenny earlier. It transpires that the girl wanted to keep the baby but was forced into having an abortion.

With all due respect, I think it's harsh to describe Winsock's view as vile. We are talking about a man who raped a child and an elderly woman. The girl is better off not having any connection with this man.

Then her wishes should have been accepted and supported. I'm not going to get into an argument about pro/anti abortion. She obviously wasn't sat down and told the full ramifications, consequences and other options open to her.

What exactly is your point, Turgon?

Why don't go up make that statement to a rape victim? - Maybe because I don't know her; it's inappropriate. Or maybe because she's suggested it was against her will.

You seem to suggest, from the tone of your post that you disapprove with my position. Do you feel it was ok for her to be encouraged to get an abortion of which she said herself was "she wasn't sure what an abortion was at the time and that if she would have been, she would have carried to full term."
