By all accounts, the Blazer is the far more accurate tool, for what it's worth. No personal experience of either. Sauer is prettier though.

Im currently using a Sauer 202 Outback, cracking good rifle, lovely balance, nice and light, some people dont like the safety on the 202 but i find it very useful and it is silent, couple of guys i shoot with use Sauer rifles, they use the Sauer 90 stutzen again a lovely compact rifle.

I went from using a Sako 75 s/s again a great rifle couldnt fault it, the
bolt on the Sauer is really smooth and the trigger i find brilliant, there is a set trigger but have never bothered really using it.

I have seen a couple of Blaser R93 Professtionals in 375 and 300 win mag,
nice rifles, never fired one but both the lads found them very useful rifles in the field.

    Blaser Professtional around 2000
    Sauer 202 Outback around 2000

You can get replacement barrells for both the Sauer and Blasers, i priced a replacement kit for the Sauer, approx 1000, it really comes down to personal preference, whether you go for a Sauer or a Blaser you will have a very good rifle.

blaser ,iv seen them shoot savage tight groups ,what i dont like about them is only 3 shot mag, loading is awkward too,
what i do like about them is there short and lite.

sauer is also a fine rifle they shoot well ,they also shoot tight groups .

to my mind the sako are the best buy you have a 6 shot gun ,can load from the top or drop a empty mag out and put in a full one in a second

When you get used to the straight pull R93 you will not want to hunt with anything else. When you settle on the ammo that suits the rifle, RWS in my case the it produce consistenttly tight groups. The down side of Blaser is that they all have to come in here through the UK & by the time Alan has his cut & you chage from € to £stg & back to € it makes them expensive & it can also be slow to get a reply to queries & parts etc. This situation was caused by a couple of MUPPET dealers here in the past filling them (Blaser) with ****e & in 1 case (Apparently) non payment for goods. So that situation is unlikely to change.

I agree with the feck alan bit allright ! I have been serching for a new Blaser for a couple of years now & I will not buy it if it is coming through the UK. I am prepared to spend the money on what I want but I am not going to line Alans pocket for him & any dealers here that I have approached have said that all Blasers coming into IRL come through the UK. This is also what I was told by Blaser in response to an e-mail. I am now looking at a Strasser among other things which was designed & is being built in Austria I think, by "Horst J E Blaser" the very man who designed & built Blaser before he sold the company a few years back. Maby you can enlighten me JW & let me know where I can get a Quote on a Blaser that does not come through the UK! send PM if you like.

I know where theres a brand new sako 75 in 308 for £780 sterling which is looking very tempting and spend the savings on good glass.I have a sako 85 in 223 for foxing and I cant fault it Ive had a few sako never a 75 but I heard great reports .unless I could get a sauer or blaser in the right money the only problem now imports are going to be hard and I will have to get a Irish RFD to do the paperwork for the import which should be straight forward any idea what they will charge?

If you had a good friend of one, they might do it for the price of a few pints, in that universal currency. The good ones will anyway, for the continued custom they'll receive. I liked the Sako 75 so much, I bought one, so my vote's with that. Fantastic price too. I got mine for £850 with Optilock rings and bases and a T8 mod.

No, apparently the bore is still in good nick and it shoots 3/4"-1" with just about everything it's fed. Looking forward to seeing whether I can better that. :) You'll be welcome to have a look over it when it arrives.
