Garda chopper is flying over the top of my house, and I can hear several sirens in the distance, along with a bunch of car horns beeping furiously..

There's a lot of Garda cars... I can hear them... Anybody have any idea what's going on.

Edit: It's definitely Ongar, it's comming closer, and there's a lot of Gardaí.... some just whipped up the Hartstown road.

You could try the dublin forum

I won't get an answer there, I'll get shot at. People here tend to be more willing to answer/ or just know more of what's going on

I'm pretty sure Clonee is in Meath.

****it, I think it's ended now anyway. I can't hear the cop-chopper, or the sirens anymore. Either he wrecked it, or he got away... but it was a big chase.

Someone just posted this in the Dublin 15 forum...
anyone know what happened outside linnetsfied tonite? Looked serious judging by the amount of police and detective, and helicopter..seen them taking a guy in a celtic jersey into the van..not seen a raid like that ever...this place is just getting worse..

only thing i can think of is something related to the shooting in Ballyfermot today, cant see why else there would be so much police presence..

And on their own channel - Traffic Blues 24. They'd be better off just showin repeats of D'unbelievables, wouldn't be far off the real thing.

Interesting, I doubt this is anything to do with it but I was driving through corduff yesterday and noticed in one of the housing estates a Garda van and there were unmarked Mondeo's (6 or more) all around it. No Gardai so perhaps they were searching a house.

Must have been the Texaco/Centre in the village next to the grasshopper, isn't that the only filling station there now? Sounds like they didn't get far anyway.
