    Used to work there....

Weather or not we thought so customers used to always complain that there was nothing in the sale but we always exceeded target and all the staff left with many full bags.

If your are pregnant or have a new baby, you could get the basics go for the next 12 months. The maternity clothes are usually 1/2 or less.

Suits are also a good buy esp if you need them for work I wouldn't bother with shirts etc as the suits are better value.

Jeans are also a good buy as are the basics such as black trs etc.

The way it works is all the stock left on the shop floor when the store closes is marked down. Everything else is taken off the floor for atleast a week.

Then the sale stock is brought in. This is stock that has been sent to a central ware house weekly since the last sale. It is both good and slow sellers, as new styles come in the stock with little range of sizes are send to warehouse for sale.

It is not inferior / seconds etc as some customers used to claim.

It is well worth being there when the store open as the stock is arranged as it should be. More stock will come out for about the first 3 days then the next weekend there will be further mark downs.

I went last year with my friend who has a toddler, she bought enough stuff to last her daughter at least 6 months and there was great bargains in kidswear. Most of the shoppers did seem to be young mothers. I picked up a few bits but next isn't somewhere I'd usually shop, wouldn't get up that early again in a hurry.

Oh if you're lucky for work suits, nothing too exciting, there were great reductions there too.

just back from the sale. really disappointed with their sizes, my mam bought everything in the size she gets every year 12 and it wouldnt go near her, and their 8 used to fit me whereas the 12 now sits grand, and we havent gained weight as all out clothes are same in other shops. just cutting down on material i guess - their clothes dont make me feel better anymore :(
