Another gangland shooting today, member of ione of the crumlin/drimnagh gangs.

I'd like to thank his killers for removing another cnut from the gene pool.

Hopefully the gunmen will themselves be killed in retaliation, god knows it would be better than our money being wasted rehabilitating, feeding, educating and entertaining them in the 'joy.

    Lefties, shut up in advance.

If it means another less scumbag, good stuff.

That's all well and good letting scumbags take care of scumbags but I'm more worried I might get caught in the crossfire.

I'll agree with you if we lock them all in a big warehouse where there's no chance of innocent passers by getting hit by stray bullets.

But it's not their fault they're murderous scumbags, it's society's fault.
If only we'd release everyone from prison and treat murderers, drug dealers and rapists by talking to them about their feelings nothing like this would ever happen.

The victim was wearing a bullet proof vest.

Is it illegal for civilians to own\wear them?

somebody forgot to tell him bulletproof vests wont protect you from being shot in the head.

why would bullet proof vests be illegal??? sounds like an odd theory

Let us remember those killed instead of the scummers. Wayne Doherty, Anthony Campbell, Donna Cleary, Jordan Crawford (6 years old) and so on.

It is actually illegal - a friend of mine once told me the law says "it gives one an unfair advantage over the state". it's getting to the stage where we'll all fooking need them though.

No, if we legalised drugs this would never happen.

Yes, when will the madness end?

    Yes.

Imo stopping a very small number of people from making the wrong choices is not worth the loss of innocent lives and destruction of entire communities.

Drugs are easily available already. The vast majority of people who want drugs can get them anyway. It's social networking in action. People who don't know where to get drugs nowadays probably knew a few stoners but never connected themselves as they had no interest in taking illegal drugs.

Coke-heads refuse heroin, stoners refuse coke. To assume that the average person would suddenly start injecting as soon as drugs became legal is nothing more than self-righteous paternalism, aswell as being a load of bollox.

Passed in on the bus home, about two hours after it happened.

That blue tent was up though tent mightn't be the correct term.
Forensics squad in their boiler suits out working.
And the area taped off and gardai taking statments from the pyjama & tracksuit wearing locals.
Well not all dress like that but a fair proportion. It's a bit of grey area of it's Ballyfermot or Inchicore. Most say Ballyfermot but people with local knowledge may disagree. THe media will say Ballyfermot anyway

Right beside the GAA pitch, a good thing no kids got caught in the crossfire!

Not from Dublin but the third time I've passed something like this.
    Once was in the IFSC.
And once was on Clonliffe Road and I gave a statement as it happened minutes before I passed the scence.

Witness scences of three shootings in two years!
Wouldn't happen in Limerick I tell ya :p
