    Hey up folks...

    One of the uninitiated here:o...Have seen on adds for mobiles sales the term "Jailunlocked"...Was wondering just what that meant????:confused:

    I'm assuming it refers to iPhones. When you buy them from O2 in Ireland they will only work with an O2 Ireland SIM card. "Jailbreaking" is when you remove this restriction so any SIM can be used with it.

    Sorry, I made a mistake.

    Jailbreaking entails allowing you to install non-App Store programs. Unlocking it entails allowing you to use the iPhone on a non-O2 network.
