tony thompson bass guitars

hi all. i googled thompson bass guitars last night and got nothing. there was a guy in roundwood , wicklow, called tony thompson that used to make bass guitars. does anyone know does he still make them or even if he is still in the country????? thanks:confused::confused:

I live near that are and I'm around bass players all the time and never heard of him..how long ago was that?

it was about 7 years ago at this stage. we brought a gibson up to be re fretted and we saw the guitars being made. he was an english fella. maybe he has moved back.

That's interesting did he only make bass guitars? I've been looking for a good guitar maker aroud this are and haven't found any. I only moved here 4 years ago so I might have missed him.

I have two basses from Tony. He stopped making them years ago. He now lives in Arklow and only does maintenance on the basses.
