    Lately I've being having a problem with my set up. The problem is, while I'm playing the PS3 the picture and sound cuts out then the TV resets the picture to wide and it come back on. When it cuts off green lines usually appear before it goes black. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with the TV or the hdmi cables or the amp.

    The setup is as follows;

    Sony Bravia 40" hd ready lcd
    Sony PS3
    Sony htfs1300 amp

    It is set up as follows PS3 connected to amp with hdmi cable. Amp connected to tv with another hdmi cable.

    If anyone has had a similar problem or and has any ideas as to how to fix this can you please let me know as it is very annoying!

    Thanks

    It sounds like what happens when you change resolution going to tv. Nothing to worry about.

    Simple test plug the PS3 in straight.
    It does sound like a processor/handshake issue.

    Oh I see, it's happening while gaming.
    Check the HDMI cable by going direct to screen and if it's still happening you can rule out the amp. If it's still happens you might a duff HDMI cable.
    Check the amp is set to passthru HDMI signal without processing etc.
    Good Luck
