Would anyone know how to dump the entire contents of a MySQL database to a file for importing elsewere? I am using phpMyAdmin.

    Thanks

It's quite simple really, just click the export tab and ensure that "Structure" and "Data" are ticked and then click save as file and tick compression if like and then click go.

By default all tables should be selected but make sure incase.

It would be smarter to do this with mysqldump and cutting access to the DB during the dump phase.
