Anyone here know why the GAA when constituted did not re-establish wrestling under it's aegis? In, The Magnificent Scufflers the author argues American Folkstyle wrestling is descended from Collar and Elbow wrestling brought to Vermont by the Irish. Wrestling was very big at one time in Ireland, Kildare supposedly being a hotbed. Any ideas?
