    Hi,

what do you think about future of Kimi Räikkönen in F1. There is some discussion about it in the Finnish media, that he would be fired/let go etc and Alonso would take his place.

Yes, Kimi does have a contract for next F1 season, but still the discussions continues. Kimi's manager has said that all this talk is rubbish, but that was precisely the same he said last time when Kimi was moving to Ferrari:)

So what do you think about the matter? I think that there might be something behind all this rumors and I think it is quite clear that Kimi has not done much this season, looks like he does not have much motivation left to race.

Kimi is being outperformed by his teammate and doesn't seem to be bothered. Alonso is a fait accompli at this stage and Kimi knows it's going to happen no matter what he does. If he's not rallying next year I'll be very surprised.

If he is he will be be getting lots of €€€'s. I think its clear if he is not in a Ferrari next year he definitely wont be in F1.

Kimi has more than enough money as it is, and he doesn't seem like the sort of driver that's motivated by money. In fact, it's difficult to know what motivates Kimi at all - probably only he knows.

I think Kimi is motivated by having fun and enjoying driving no matter what discipline same as most other drivers. He just doesn't enjoy not having a chance to win gp's(the reason he moved to Ferrari in the first place)

He doesn't need the money, but will still get it. He will be a long time retired when his earning capacity isn't as great as it is now besides he can use it to fund his racing teams etc.

I believe me and Kimi are motivated by the same thing, which is a few beers after a decent days work!

WRC is his future, will be sad to see him go, must be hard to be motivated when Ferrari hae given him such a bad car.

I think it'd be hard for Kimi to not be less motivated this year knowing his car just cannot do it. He's also made himself some distractions outside of being a driver. If he does well & enjoys rallying in Finland then I would say there's a good chance he'll go do that. Bad for F1 because he is a great asset to the sport, but having the headline of an F1 driver detracting to WRC would be great for WRC, imo.

but if he were to enter the WRC with Fiat as they hope to join the WRC next year or two dont see it as a good move unless they get the finger out with the car the pugeots and skodas are walking all over them in the IRC at the mo,anyway we'll have to wait till finland to see how far of the pace of hanninen in the skoda
