Online Gaming - BT / Eircom Won't Connect

    Hi all,

First time poster here - great site.

I'm having issues playing online with PS3 with a mate. I have BT broadband and he has eircom - both wired. Up until last night, we never had any issues playing Res Evil 5 in online co-op.

Last night both of us got 'connection lost' errors while trying to join up. Both of us can join other games - but not with each other. We tried the same on COD4 - again, I can join a game, he can join a game, but we can't connect up together in one game.

I'm completely puzzled by this - any help would be most appreciated !

    Thanks!

    Lanzafan

maybe you need to make sure both your NATS are type 1 rather than 2 or 3 ?

    Sounds weird alright

Just checked mine and it says it's NAT2 - is that good ? :)

Nat 1 is best and Nat 3 is worst so its in between but can be better.

thats the only thing i can think of

I think it's always been that - very very strange indeed. E-mailed BT about it too

Some games are just like that, i could never invite/join a game of COD with my cousin, also whenever i set up a room in a shooter, no-one EVER joined....

Could be related to the eircom being hacked issues over the past week or so... Can't see how it would effect a BT connection tho?
