afternoon all, need to get suits organised for our wedding and just wondering how many of the wedding party to get them for?

Should I get them for myself, best man, groomsman, brides father and my father?

    Any opinions most welcome :)

That's what we did. If I wanted to cut down the numbers, I'd not get them for the groomsmen, but the respective fathers might really want to feel like part of the party.

It is personal preference really. If all of your groomsmen have suits and you don't mind them having a mix-and-match situation going on, then you can get away with just the groom and best man (or even just the groom). However, if you expect people to have new matching suits, then it's beyond rude to ask the groomsmen/best man to pay for them.

I would leave it up to the fathers themselves. In my case, the two Dads prefer to choose their own style, so that's what they're doing. But same deal again, if you want them to match, then buy them a suit. Otherwise let them do what they want.

don't worry will be paying for any hired suits myself...will go for something with tails...just a bit torn between having myself, bestman and groomsman matching, or including the two Dads as well. One of the 1001 decisions to be made for the big day

cheers for more tips folks (I've been off for a week getting me eyes lasered)

good idea kittykat was thinkin along those lines, an Edwardian gold tie for meself and red for the others (bridesmaids dresses are wine coloured)

Have decided to go with tails for the five of us, one day in your life and all that ;) The guy in Tangos beside the Central bank seems quite sound
