Can a sky dish pick up the DVB-T broadcasts?

I just moved house and can't seem to pick up the terrestrial DVB-T broadcasts. I moved to Celbridge from Finglas where I could get them grand (along with the DVB-S channels). I've a combo reciever in the oul computer, but it can't seem to pick up the digital terrestrial broadcasts. I've it hooked up to the dish, the same as I did in my last place but it won't pick up the signal. The last dish was a coummunal non-sky one.

    Any tips?

    No, it can't.

    DVB-S = Satellite dish
DVB-T = Some kind of TV ariel

Did you try scanning for the DVB-T signals again? Maybe you're nearer a different DVB-T transmitter now. Maybe at your old place, the signal was so strong you didn't need an ariel.

You will probably need an external aerial in Celbridge pointing at Clermont Cairn or Kippure

Cheers for the replies. I was hoping I would get away with it, but looks like I'll have to stick an aerial up somewhere. :(

The communal system at your old place would have had a UHF feed into the multiswitch which would have been diplexed down the same cable to your apartment. Hence you were receiving both DVB-T and S via your tuner card.
