You will get lower participation with an entry fee that high... Suggest €30-40 which is what other similar events charge. Should raise more overall.

Also with that wording I'm sure you will get some clever guys that will take a sponsorship card, enter some names and come up with the aforementioned 30-40 euros that seems to be the standard entry fee for and event of this nature

ROK- technically free entry fee and raises many thousands each year.

I wont be taking part, sorry but for €75 I can enter 3 people in the Kilkenny cycle and buy some cake! (the advert needs more details too)

Also not sure our admin overlords will be happy when they see a post directly advertising an event without paying for the space, those adverts at the side aint there as decoration......:D

Best of luck with it though, great cause:)

In fairness it is an event for charity, plenty of such events are "advertised" here and no-one has a problem with it... The Stephen Roche Tour de Cure was a good example of an event that started off with a plan of €30 entry + €100 minimum sponsorship but based on feedback received reduced that to just plain €30 and raise what you can if you like, I am sure they did better out of it as a result with over 550 cyclists and over €40,000 raised.

Some questions that I am sure others have:
What is the total distance of the cycle?
What are the distances between stops?
Do participants have to stay with a group or can they go at their own speed?
