Exchanging Sterling Coins

    Hi All,

    Dont know if this is right board, pls feel free to move if not.

    But does anyone know if currency exchange in banks would exchange Sterling 1 pound coins to euro, i know they do notes but not sure about the coins, i have about 30 pound in 1 pound coins that i need exchanging?

    Does anyone know?? dont want to go bank with all the coins and be turned away lol

    No, as far as I know, no banks will take coins.

    No as far as I am aware, banks do not accept sterling coins. I remember when I used to use sterling alot, I was able to exhange the pound coins in Thomas Cook travel agents. If I remember correctly, they were doing 1pound = €1.
