    Hey all,

Going to look at an Alfa GT (2007 Blackline Monza) tomorrow. Is there anything in particular (beyond the usual used car things) that I should be wary of?

check hojnestjohn.co.uk, be aware that LexLuthor on here is selling his 07 JTDm Monza too, I've seen it in the flesh and it's a stunner

Kind of want to keep it on the down low tbh.
2007 Alfa GT. 28000km. Still under warranty. 18" alloys, Air con, Cruise control, full black and red leather interior, 12 disc cd player, stereo controls on steering wheel, electric windows, full service history, alarm immob, traction control, abs, multiple airbags, taxed, twin exhaust. Bose stereo with subwoofer, chrome sport pedals, 155bhp, chrome mirrors.

    Looks like this ->

Biggest thing is checking for outstanding finance. do a cartell check on it before you even go and look at it.

Yeah I saw Lex's. It's a lovely car alright. Thing is this one I've seen is black (I'm not too enamoured with Lex's grey one) is for a few K less than Lex's. Plus it's lower milage. I'll take a look at HonestJohn. Was just looking for any specifics issues with that car model that I should look at and the seller sounds very legit.

If you are in Dublin you should do your utmost to have the car checked by Gerry Campbell in Ti Autos. He is an Alfa specialist and comes highly recommended by Alfa enthusiasts.

Yeah he's a top man. Unfortunately both me and the car are in Munster.

KJ, I'd love to know where this one is cos I searched all the online classifieds to get a guide price before putting mine up and mine was by far the cheapest 07 Monza 1.9JTDm. I'm guessing its the 2.0 petrol if its 155bhp?

If it doesn't work out for you, give me a buzz. I'm open to an offer.

ps mine is Silver. I originally wanted to get a black one but when I saw the silver, it was much nicer. Everyone has black GT's

I'd say 15.5K will drive it home.

I've been keeping an eye out for GT for around the 14K mark for a while now, that one is just outside my reach

Looks a great car and well priced.

Completely with you on that one. I hope you find one as good as that silver one! Best of luck.

    ya that's mine alright....;)

Never even considered donedeal.ie for advertising and checking. The black one is a nice looking car. It looks to have a few extra styling bits on it like the spoiler, eyebrows and on the side skirts.

Its not 155bhp though but 150 but you'll be better off with that its the diesel.

These cars are going for a song as you'd be lucky to pick a 07 one up in the UK for £12k.
