    I dont have a phoneline.
    I currently have irish broadband in a box. 1mb €19 a month.
Can't get my head around upload and download speeds.
Are any of the o2 modems or an of them better for a similar price?
    Any advise would be great

None of those are broadband. 3G connections can be very dodgy, and in some cases will be no better than Ripwave, sometimes a lot worse.

UPC, Metro or DSL on a phone line are real broadband. O2, Vodafone, Three, Meteor, Ripwave and Clearwire are not.

Imagine / IBB "broadband in a box" is Ripwave. Though in theory it can be converted to Mobile Wimax.

But on 3.5GHz "nomadic" indoor aerial, Mobile WiMax isn't Broadband either.

Imagine/IBB's Breeze Wireless product is Broadband.

Ok, i didn't know they're not broadband. So whatever they are, are there some that are better than others? Or which would be the best?

    Depends entirely where you are.

    02, Vodafone in some areas.

    Vodafone, O2 in others

Meteor best in a few areas.

3 is worst mostly everywhere, but may be best in a few places.

Satellite can work out cheaper and faster.

Dialup esp ISDN can be much better.

Really the only advantage of them is MOBILITY. It's piggyback on the Mobile Phone Networks. It's not a separte thing like DSL or Cable BB is. It uses the same transmissions.
