Just got 05 renault megane dynamic 1.6 petrol serviced. Getting a service message and a check emmissions message also car cutting out a lot. I am going to bring it back to Renault naturally. Did anyone have similar problems and what was the outcome.

probably need a lambda sensor or a catalytic convertor.

Rough idle, stalling, spluttering, low power + check emmissions light ? = Coil pack. Common failure on Meganes.

Could be a number of things. The diagnostics will spot it.

Could be a faulty camshaft sensor or something as above.

True, it could be any manner of things.
It's easy to check the coils yourself, with the engine idling, just pinch the tab on the connector and unplug a coil for a moment. If the engine spluttered or stalled when unplugged then its a good coil, reconnect and move to the next coil. If there was no change to the engine then its a bad'un. If all ok then get a diagnostics.

[Edit: If the spark plugs were replaced maybe, just maybe, the mechanic didn't reconnect a coil properly and it worked loose since.]
