sky +multiroom problems

I have pace sky + box set up in multiroom but I am getting picture interferance constantly on every channel (pixelation). My other sky hd is not affected. The pace box is not the problem as I tested in a friends house. Box itself has been rebooted and updated with new software etc.A sky engineer called and boosted the signal but did not work.
Strange thing is that if the hd box is on also, it seems to fix this problem.
    Any ideas?

Phone is connected to box. I did remove it but did not fix the problem. wifi is not near the box but router is in room directly across from lnb. It does not effect the hd box so i doubt a problem.
I think sky engineer used a meter of some sort. not sure.

Have you tried swapping the locations of both boxes??? What is the signal strengh and quality strenghts like??

Im wondering if the cabling coming to the Sky plus box is damaged or inefficient...what way is the room wired...or perhaps a faulty quad??

I have excellent signal strength on both boxes. I swopped the sky hd box in place of the sky + and it worked ok.

You have just described the classic symptoms of a failing PSU in a Thomson DSI8215 Sky HD Digibox. This has been discussed on other forums, especially Digitalspy, by a poster named "ProDave" who first tracked down the cause.
