    Hi Lads and Lassies,

Heres the story, I was collecting JSB for the greater part of 2008 and I cancelled in Feb as i was going to look for work abroad, I worked in Australia until recently but now I'm home again living at home with barely a euro to my name, 26 yrs old and i dont qualify for JSB in 2009, If i apply for means tested dole, whats the likelihood of getting any? is there a clearly defined criteria to be met? or is it case by case?

    thanks

    It is pretty clearly defined.

As you're over 25 your parents' means won't be taken into account for the means test.

So go in and apply, chances are you'll get the full amount.

OP, if you only closed your JB claim in FEB 09, you can make a new JB claim and it should link back once its within 26 weeks of the old one closing.
