    Hi,

Just wondering where everyone buys their radio control stuff? It would be cool to get a list going of all the different places you have used and what your experience of doing business with them was. As we go along, I'll edit this first post and add the details and comments to the list.
Please only include places that you have had some experience with and give a brief comment on them.

    RC Suppliers to Ireland

www.modeltune.com (NORTHERN IRELAND) Rennicks Modeltune, Portadown
"small shop but its crammed full of stuff. Nice friendly people to deal with and they will post a box of stuff (including glow fuel) to the south for £7. Andrew and Richard are the two guys there." - boatbuilder
"I also use ModelTune.com, have raced with the guys too, tho in fairness all I was doing was being lapped" - Fuzzywuzzywazza

    www.towerhobbies.com (USA)
"vast selection of stuff and a great website with loads of info about each product but shipping to Ireland can be a bit high on large items." - boatbuilder
"is good also but watch out for customs" - goldwing
"Tower hobbies are probably the best in the world, dirt cheap. I have ordered a few grands worth of stuff off them and never a single problem. I got a glider yesterday, took 5 days to come(no custons) only €100 quid." - Plug

    www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk (ENGLAND)
"good selection of stuff, prices a bit higher than tower hobbies and their website isn't as good". - boatbuilder

    www.HobbiesIreland.ie (Ireland)
"Can't shop from website, but the guy who owns it does a lot of rc racing himself and does get a good selection of stuff in, located just outside clane. I get most of my stuff from him." - Fuzzywuzzywazza

    www.amainhobbies.com (USA)
"Very big selection, decent prices and great customer support via live chat." - FuzzyWuzzyWazza

Tower hobbies are probably the best in the world, dirt cheap. I have ordered a few grands worth of stuff off them and never a single problem.
I got a glider yesterday, took 5 days to come(no custons) only €100 quid.

I might be dealing with green hobby and model soon for a radio system though.

When I started i used to shop around outside the eu, and in US.
Since then I have reduced all my previous sources to just a few. Now I buy as local as I can, and stay with just a few suppliers who stock what I like and have stuff I found to be reliable.

For about 85% of the items I get it's in Ireland: www.greenhobbymodel.com
    For the remaining 15% approx:
If I go to the UK for some heli items unavailable here: www.revolutionmodels.co.uk
But if I went to the UK for car parts or makes that were unavailable here: www.modelsport.co.uk/

This arrangement has kept me happy for many years of my RC hobby needs.
