Problem with DELL M6400

Having a world of problems with my Dell M6400 but cant seem to find the cause.
Firstly the screen/keyboard/entire system seems to freeze sporadicially and so the only way to resolve it is to hold down the power button until it switches off.

After doing this the laptop wont boot up again for a random amount of time. The Caps Lock On light flashes and when trying to boot up the power and cd drive lights light up and then fade again.

More recently I've been getting a blue screen instead of the freezeing ... again with the same results as above.

Really starting to crack me up at this stage. Couldnt boot up at all yesterday evening after a crash and its only back booting up again this morning.

Any ideas/suggestions/anyone experience similar. I dont even know where to start looking!

Might be no harm posting your issues up on the DELL Community forums

Sounds like it could be overheating, that would explain why it won't turn back on again. If it's quite old then it might be worth opening it up and cleaning the vents as dust can build up.
