Aer Arann- bag?

Hi, I'm after booking an Aer Arann flight. Is it true that I can check in a bag for free with them and also carry on hand luggage on the plane? It just seems to good to be true!

Yes, you're can checked in bags up to 15kg for free and bring hand luggage.

Wouldn't count on bringing a massive piece of handluggage on their aircraft though

Ya they're the only ones that offer free luggage these days. Very handy for girls in particular, I hate having to measure all my liquids whenever I go on short flights, blah!

One more question!- Where do you get the little containers for liquid from? And can you just pour your stuff into them?

No. You dont squeeze your tootpaste out into a container or pour your shower gel into another. As long as they are 100ml or less each you will be fine.

Pick up a free see through bag at the security check point and put all your liquids, pastes and gels into this bag and put through the metal detector.

If you're checking a bag in you don't need to do that, you can just put normal toiletries into it. You only need to put them in containers <100ml and a bag if you're bringing the liquids on in your hand luggage.

Just a note, the bags are no longer free. You have to pay 1euro for 2 bags. Just make sure you have a 1euro coin with you.

Also OP, Aer Arann doesn't have the same size overhead compartments as any other airline, infact they are quite small! Anything bigger than a backpack, and you will need to put it under your seat, which is also quite small.
Anything bigger than 50x40x20 and you will struggle.

Just wondering if your handbag counts towards your 7kg cabin baggage? Or can I bring a small light backpack on board too?
Also, if my husband's back weighs 10kg and mine is 20kg can we pool our bags to make the 30kg allowance?
Travelling tomorrow so if anyone can answer either question that'd be great!!

I'd imagine it's a per-bag limit (i.e. 15 each, not combined).

As for hand luggage generally the industry standard is one item plus a personal item (hand bag etc), but with smaller aircraft they may be more sticky about it.
