Going Blonde

Been thinking about trying this lately....

I have brown eyes and very pale (practically alabaster) skin though so it's a risk. Got a bit of a tan recently so I'm not as pale as usual but still....

Black hair doesn't suit me at all. My natural colour is a dark to medium brown but I usually dye it deep red colours with dark brown undertones which suits me very well. I just feel like I'd like to try blonde for once.

Is it a very bad idea? Would my skin and eye colouring clash with it?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Ah, that is certainly not pale skin compared to mine. I'm talking very, very, very pale skin. Her skin actually looks quite sallow if you look more closely. I dunno. Mine is probably as pale as Dita Von Teese but I look weird and washed out with jet black hair so I can't go by her colouring either.

    Any more ideas?

I'm like you, and am very pale - I did go blonde before and it didn't really suit me! I'm naturally brunette, so I'm sticking to it! Have you thought of dying it this colour? It's very natural looking and would suit pale skinned people like Rachel Bilson, who's modelling this look :)

Currently my hair is a slightly darker shade than this, but have chestnut coloured highlights also, so it's a nice effect! Maybe try that?

Go for it Lady J....I was a bout to type your real name :O :P

I have pale pale skin like you and I went blonde, and everyone said it looks great, tis upkeep tho and I had ginger hair for a while [tip: dont home dye it :/] but its nice to just have the change! Plus if you dont like it you can always go back darker!

[if you dont remember me ;_;, pm me :D]

head into your local tony and guy and ask to have a consulation with a stylist- they're free and there's no obligation to book in to get your hair done. but they'll go through the colours that suit you and they'll definatly give you good advice- they don't want to mess up your look as much as you do!

Thanks for all of the advice. That second pic is kinda what I'm thinking about going for. I'm definitely going to go to the hairdresser rather than doing it myself but I need to save up first! Bit broke at the mo! Still, I think I'll risk the change. If it's shít I can always change it back.

I have really pale skin...not quite dita von teese though, and I have freckles. I went blonde and everyone thought it wouldnt suit me but it looked nice in the end.

That said I've since gone back to a sort of brown-ish copper cos there was no way I could afford the upkeep of blonde hair. nuh uh uh
