Belkin Wireless G+ USB adapter - Help!

Trying to install one of the above on a desktop running XP. I install the software and it tells me to insert the USB adapter, which it then won't pick up. 'Add new hardware' says the drivers aren't installed and yet they won't install even when i point out which folder they are in. Can anyone help me fix this? It's driving…
