The silent man moves swiftly through
the crammed streets of Dublin City,
head leaned back as the sun smoothly
glides across his thick black sunshades.
Dry lips curled into a warm grin,
well-worn cheeks wet with tears of joy.
    Voices, footsteps, car-horns, red-lights
    green-lights, traffic jams galore.
In the midst of all this chaos
he’s just glad he got one day more.
