Problem with filling

So I had a black spot in my 2nd molar(i know..i should have gone to the dentist earlier But i was scared!). Anyway the dentist told me the decay was near the nerve. He filled it anyway with a composite filling. However afterwards he said my tooth was weak and the filling MAY break or the tooth might break. Anyone else ever…
