You dont need to live near me or anyone else on boards to be told something like that!

why waste doctors time if you are not prepared to listen to them and do as they advise? Why not just let someone who actually WANTS to be helped have the appointment instead of wasting appointment slots and doctors time

Perhaps you should check up on what it takes to be entered into heart watch
it part funded by drug companies because of the toxic nature of the meds you get to take to keep you alive!just in case you are wondering i need to lose 10 kilos to have a bmi of aprox 23-25 fingers crossed i get to be fourty something this winter.

you dont need to tell me! I'm lucky enough to work in a hospital so i know how these things work ok! So you know how hard it is to get an appointment, why risk your own health when you are more than capable of doing what you are advised to do!

Hiya mp22 :) I guess that what you really need is the motivation to lose the weight more than anything. The worst thing I find is that I can easily go on a health buzz for a few weeks but then the pressures of a few late nights at work means that my diet goes out the window as the take away is bought. The late nights put the exercise to a halt too.

Basically, stop eating rubbish (including white pasta, bread, sugary foods and drinks), eat lean meat and fish, wholemeal pasta and rice. Have loads of fruit and veg every day. If you need to snack, then a handful of mixed nuts (not salted or roasted peanuts!) should be okay unless you're allergic! Fruit would work either.

Then each evening (or morning before you shower), without exception go for a brisk walk for 30 minutes, make sure you are sweating after it. Just bloody do it!! It's your life and if you really want help then listen to what the doctor says and act on it.

    Simple as that really. :)

EDIT: Hee hee, leave it to ChewChew to tell it like it is :D Seriously mp22, just go for it and don't make any excuses. Keep a record of your activity and diet between now and your next appointment and that way you can say to the doc 'Yeah I was a bad boy for a long time but I've copped on and am now doing something about it'. Only you can do this and you'll feel fuppin brilliant for it!
