New Touring Bike. advice on which one

    Hi, I would appreciate some advice. I am looking for a new ladies touring bike, but I do not know which one to buy. My budget is up to approx e1,700. Is there a big difference between the different makes. I am thinking of buying a giant or specialised but one bike shop has advised that they compromise on quality and rely on their name.

    I currently ride a Claud Butler (the model I think is Odessy). cost approx 350e about 6 years ago and I would really like to upgrade.
