Car Radio - TP Button/Ipod Transmitter

Just a quick question... I bought an FM Transmitter for my IPOD. It was working fine for a day or two and then it started beeping once or twice and turning to a different station. :eek:
I would re-tune in the station on the car radio - it would play for a few short seconds and beep again and change - it sounded like it is searching for a better signal from another station.
I tried using a different station number without success, and I rang the support line for the transmitter - they told me to turn up the volume
didnt help either...
Im wondering if the TP button might do something... and if so, should I turn it to "T" or "TP"
