    Hi,

I was just looking into the ppl on the net and it seems that both the UK and USA have programs that offer accelerated PPL's and I'm interested to know wether there is such a program that offers accelerated PPL's in Ireland?

    Regards Jack

You can do all your training with a flying school in one go if your pockets are deep enough, but the Irish Aviation Authority only hold exams every 3/4 months, whereas in other countries, they hold them as often as you want.

there is no stoping you doing a lesson every day the only thing that will stop you is the weather.

the iaa exams are every two months and are held in dublin its cheaper to do it in the usa and you get continuity i.e flying every day although while i was there we lost about a week due to crap weather.(freak weather front).

i can pm you the school i went to if you want me to

I heard of one individual who started training for his PPL last September. He passed his test in January. That's through an Irish winter. So it can be done if you are determined enough. His only hold up, was in fact the exams.

So don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. Once you go solo you can rack up hours in the circuit. That means turning up every day and flying and flying. But you really need to be available seven days a week.
