    Hi everybody

I recently bought a punch bag and ceiling bracket online. However i am unsure how to connect the 4 chains on the bag to the bracket. Do i need to buy a swivel or hooks or something?

If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated

Yeh you need an eye hook, you can get one in Mullens on Mary Street in the city centre or in Mick Dowling's sports in Terenure.

    Hope that helps

I use an S hook I bought in the local hardware store for a euro.

Always wary of those ceiling bracket jobbies. I haven't come accross a ceiling yet that could withstand the punishment I give my bag.

you may want to edit your original post, as that link appears to be wrong. seems to be a mobile phone number - a misfire on a copy paste.

On the subject of punchbags, Im building a frame for one at the minute. Any tips on the shape? So far I have an X-shape 1m to each arm with an upright gallows bracket. What height would be best for the bag?

My advice is use heavy gloves to protect your meat hooks!
