    for more power on a diesel A4 get it properly mapped by a reputable mapper.

    it will cost 300 - 400 i suspect but it will be a lot safer than a chip.

    some of the guys on here had a mapping day hopefully they'll be a long to explain more

    you need a proper remap from a decent mapper, not a chip/resistor that only tricks your ECU into thinking that the car is getting more air and just dumps more fuel into the engine.

    the link you posted looks like a tuning box or similar which are ok, but not the best to be honest!

    get a remap from www.autoremap.ie would be my opinion, but theres loads of other guys out there, but martin in autoremap would be my recommendation.

    have a look at the website and you can see what gains can be gotten from your car with the remap.

    http://www.chippedire.com/ are another crowd and http://www.westwardeng.com/index.htm are also highly recommended too.

    Hi,
    there I seen them chips for sale plug and play they dont work I got my 1.9 tdi golf remaped from 110 bhp to 170 and the tourqu is unreall even compared to the gti golf which i nearlly boughtand my road tax is e150 and 42mpg and dgs all the way its f$£k great get a remap you will be better off in the long run.

    I think 110 to 170 is a bit on the optimistic side




  • ok, im going to definatly look into this. whats the legality of a remap, insurance wise etc..
