I'm trying to do a bit of research into feeding bakery waste to cattle, anyone know anything about this? Nutritional value and legislation etc.. You would think its just grain at the end of the daya and I know is pretty commonplace in America to feed bread and that to cows but I wouldn't set myself to their standards!

In an Irish context its a lot more common to feed waste bakery products and restaurant waste to pigs than it is to cattle. It does need to be pasteurised- to keep microbes out of the food chain. I'll have a look and see if I can find the relevant legislation.

I don't know if this will be allowed any more since the Pork crisis.
