Yes you will receive all the free channels available and can move them to any number that you wish...eg Channel 5 onto no5 on the box and so on ...

    Thanks steveon
Can you sugest any equipment(cables, ect: )
I'm pretty good when it comes to computer tech, but with satalite's I'm pretty much in the woods. :D

Also can you or anybody recomend a good Freesat box (SD or HD) for under or around 100 euro. It doesn't need recording ability as I already have SKY+ in the living room.
The Lidl one (Silvercrest) is tempting but my history with cheap priced electronics has thought me that you pay the price when it comes to UI.

    Hi Siobhan,

How is the EPG feature on that new box? Does it provide programming schedule info for the BBC and ITV stations?

The box description seemed to be suggesting that it might have a more comprehensive EPG than on previous models - maybe something more like the Freesat system?

    Regards,

    Ger Roe.

Got the box in lidl works perfect.

Been told by a friend that wanted to get one but couldn't find one in the local branch, so he rang up the Lidl main office and he was told that they are sold out nation wide.

Hi Guys, I'm not good with all this technology stuff so just thought i'd ask.

Thinking about investing in the lidl silvercrest receiever and already have a sky subscription, is it possibel to set the silvercrest receiver to pick up the sky digital i already have?

Hi. looking at the previous thread they are all sold out. Anyway this will pick up all the bbc's and itv's chan. 4 and 5 etc but not the rte's and tv3 also any sky programme and utv gold . But it will pick up Sky news. Go to Lyngsat.com for Astra 28 and you will get a full list of programmes
I believe if you take out the card from your Sky box you will see all the programmes you can get for free or with another receiver.

The HDMI is a gimmick. No HD on this lidl Box.

Any DECENT TV will give as good a picture via RGB Scart. If you can afford a decent HDTV, then you should think about a real HD pvr like the Humax.

    I don't think thats true.

Upscaling SD from a HDMI connection looks a lot better than upscaled SD from a scart or other.
