The world of possibilities

At 28 nobody has ever called me their girlfriend and I'm useless at the dating/relationships game. And now all of a sudden, I find myself in the predicament of possibly having 2 interested men! And I don't know what to do. There is a guy that lives closeby, who I've been seeing lots of recently. We meet up regularly, and I get plenty texts, calls, emails etc. and we get on very well. He is really really shy and I'm clueless as to how his brain is operating or if he has any interest in me whatsoever. And in case you're wondering why I haven't done anything about it, the reason is we work together on projects from time to time and I wouldn't want to make that awkward if I am totally on the wrong track.
Then last summer I met a guy when I was on holidays, and we've recently made contact. We've met up twice. He lives 200 miles away from me, and has made no secret of the fact that he really likes me and would love to get to know me better.

If anybody has any idea as to how I should proceed I would welcome all your thoughts...I am torn between giving the first guy some time and allowing him space to make a move, as I feel I have invested a lot of time in getting to know him. Or should I pack my bags and be spontaneous and see what happens.

I'd say the first guy is all in your head...give the long distance a go.
